Therapy and Assessment Psychological
Services

About Me
I have worked as a licensed psychologist in Virginia and then in California since 2010. My experience has been varied, working with a large number of clients who suffer from serious mental illness, mood disorders, anxiety, as well as stress management. I have provided expert testimony in California Superior Court on more than 30 occasions. I am trained in assessment of a wide variety of learning disorders, developmental disorders, attention-deficit disorders, as well as disorders of personality and severe mental illness.

Other Services
I am also available to provide other services outside the therapy room such as observation and expert testimony. Please click the link below for information about those services.

My Philosophy
I believe that there is no single treatment that will be perfect for everyone. I prefer to view each of my clients as an individual with individual needs and experiences. My treatment approach is eclectic, while based in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. While I use CBT as a basic structure, I also include methods from other proven therapeutic approaches. My goal is to provide a targeted, tailored, and most importantly, effective therapeutic experience.
Assessment Services
I offer a variety of assessment services for individuals including:
Learning Disabilities
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Cognitive/Intellectual Functioning
Gifted/Talented
Personality Disorder

A full assessment battery will include a 90-minute Intake Session, testing, a feedback session, and a comprehensive report.

INTAKE - This 90-minute session is focused on establishing what your assessment needs are and what type of testing tools will be needed. A thorough history will be gathered in order to make accurate determinations and to understand the problem from a whole-life perspective.

TESTING - Depending on the types of testing tools required, these sessions may last anywhere from six to eight hours.

FEEDBACK - During this session, you will be provided with information gained from the assessment as well as have the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers about the findings.

REPORT - A comprehensive report will be provided to you that will address the stated need for testing and an explanation of the findings. A copy of the report can also be forwarded to a 3rd party (e.g., school teacher, counselor, primary physician, etc.). Please note that any further copies of the report may require an additional charge.
